Kreg Kallenberger Biography


Kreg Kallenberger was born in Austin, Texas in 1950. His studio is located on a ranch in northern Oklahoma. He is considered one of the finest artists working in cast glass in the world. His optical glass sculptures are reminiscent of the southwest landscape as well as the Antarctic.

Over the past two decades, Kreg Kallenberger has received international acclaim for his sculpture. His has been widely exhibited and published and is represented in dozens of museum collections, including the Corning Museum of Glass, the Detroit Institute of Art, the Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the Musee des Arts Decoratifs, Lausanne, Switzerland, the American Craft Museum, New York and the High Museum, Atlanta, to name a few.

He has been honored with numerous awards, among them the National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship grant in 1984.
