LeQuier received his Bachelor of Science from Southern Connecticut State College in 1975 and subsequently became an instructor there, later accepting a position at Penland School. His work is can be found in many collections, including that of the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, New York, and the American Glass Museum of Millville, New Jersey. His work has been shown across the U.S. in more than thirty exhibitions. "My work," he writes, "is inspired by the drama of everyday events in the natural world where weather and time are catalysts for change."

"Slipstream" by William LeQuier

"Slipstream" by William LeQuier is a truly unique and beautful work. The transparency and intricacy of this work set it apart from other works of contemporary glass art. The delicate interweaving of strands of glass create a feeling of organic, almost mystical complexity. One marvels at the dexterity and creative depth of the artist.

"Slipstream" is a remarkable example of William LeQuier's work. It is amazing how LeQuier can transform plate glass material into flowing undulations of forms. The work seems to almost float in air and defy gravity. We feel very fortunate to be representing this accomplished artist again in the gallery.
