New Artists/New Work at Holsten Galleries

January 20, 2010

New Year’s Greetings!

I hope the new year and new decade are off to a good beginning for you.  I am looking forward to 2010, being the first full year as a private art dealer and consultant operating Holsten Galleries as an online gallery.

Now that I am not limited by the spatial restrictions of a physical gallery, I am adding some well known artists who work on a large scale.  These are all artists that I have known for many years. In the case of one  artist, Tom Patti, we worked together both in Stockbridge and Palm Beach for many years when Tom was doing his celebrated small scale works in the 1980’s and 1990’s.  In the case of Daniel Clayman, I also had the opportunity to show some of his pieces in the Stockbridge gallery for a period of time.  Mary Van Cline and David Bennett are both Seattle based artists whose work I have admired for many years and am now excited to be representing for the first time.

I hope you have the opportunity to visit the web pages of these “new” artists soon

Finally, I can’t end  without mentioning that I have just received images of a new body of available work by maestro Lino Tagliapietra Tagliapietra. I consider some of these works to be amongst the very best Lino Tagliapietra has ever created. At the age of 75, when an artist could logically be expected to be slowing down a bit, Lino Tagliapietra continues to push the edge of what is possible to create in glass.  I encourage Lino Tagliapietra fans to take a look!

Stay well and keep in touch.

Warm regards,

Kenn
