Note from Kenn Holsten

Greetings! This month I’m very happy to be sharing some recently finished pieces by Martin Rosol and Toland Sand. I have also just added two "new" works by Lino Tagliapietra to my inventory. I feel quite privileged to represent some of the greatest glass artists in the world and to be able to share their wonderful work with you. Take care, stay cool and enjoy the rest of your summer!

Quote of the Month

"I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn’t say any other way-things I had no words for."

– Georgia O’Keeffe

Featured Works

Lino Tagliapietra

Last week I added two classic Lino pieces to my inventory. I was delighted to find these two works in the archives and to be reminded that even after Lino’s retirement there are still some great pieces available. I have some excellent detail shots of both of these pieces should you be interested in seeing them.

Angel Tear by Lino Tagliapietra, 27.5 x 13.25 x 5.5″

Saba by Lino Tagliapietra, 29.5 x 15.5 x 6.25″

Aegean Oloid by Toland Sand, 9 x 9 x 5.5″

Aegean Oloid
by Toland Sand

Toland Sand recently moved back to his home and studio in New Hampshire after living in California for several years. This recent piece of his is quite striking both in its palette and form.

Martin Rosol

I have enjoyed knowing and representing Massachusetts glass artist Martin Rosol for almost 40 years. These days Martin is creating some wonderful smaller scale pieces and I’m happy to share these two with you this month.

Lavender Equilibrium by Martin Rosol, 7.5″ diameter

Blue Element by Martin Rosol, 6 x 6 x 6″

Thanks for taking part of your day to enjoy some great glass art. I look forward to hearing your comments and questions. Be well and stay in touch.
