Note from Kenn Holsten

Greetings. I hope this month’s newsletter finds you well. Holsten Galleries represents so many great artists working in glass that it is difficult to choose which ones to feature each month. I think you’ll love this month’s selections! Take care and stay in touch.

Featured Works

Angel Tear by Lino Tagliapietra, 42 x 12 x 5.24"

Angel Tear
by Lino Tagliapietra

The Angel Tear series is one of the most dramatic and striking series by Maesto Lino Tagliapietra. Standing at 42", this is one of the tallest of Lino’s works, making it all the more spectacular.

Untitled Blue

by Alex Bernstein

This is one of Alex’s most recent sculptures and one of my personal favorites. Here it is in front of a window in Alex’s studio. What an incredible shade of blue!

Here is a great example of Chihuly’s classic Seaform series. You can’t get much more Chihuly than this one!

ZAOF &
Double Bubble Study

by David Schwarz

I have worked for many years with Washington based artist David Schwarz. I recently came across two pieces from an older series and liked them so much that I decided to feature them both. His glass sculptures are blown in clear and with color overlays. The cold work engraving creates illusions of space and perspective.

Magic Blues by Toland Sand, 12" wide

Magic Blues
by Toland Sand

Toland Sand’s work has become more colorful and more dramatic in recent years. This piece from his Oloid series is no exception. This piece is only 12" wide and yet has a commanding presence. It comes with an illuminated and motorized base.
