Note from Kenn Holsten

Greetings! I hope you and your families had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I have chosen some beautiful sculptures from five of my favorite glass artists to share with you today. I hope you enjoy seeing them and I look forward to hearing from you with any questions that you may have.

Featured Works

Blue Element by Martin Rosol
, 6 x 6 x 6″

Blue Element
by Martin Rosol

Massachusetts glass artist Martin Rosol has created a small-scale masterpiece in his cube shaped "Blue Element." This piece is so subtle yet dramatic in its own quiet way.

Teasing Jupiter Johnson
by Stephen Powell

From Stephen Powell’s "Teaser" series, this piece has a wonderful feeling. I love the colors and the simple round form.

, 21 x 21 x 33″

Arabesque Cloud by Nancy Callan, 8 x 11 x 15″

Arabesque Cloud

by Nancy Callan

This lovely example of Nancy’s Callan’s well known "Cloud" series is this Seattle based glass artist’s latest creation. The form is both playful and yet very sculptural and the colors are dramatic.

Aquilone
by Lino Tagliapietra

This piece might be my favorite from my recently chosen new inventory by maestro Lino Tagliapietra. The simple circular form is the perfect canvas for the splendid colors.

Aquilone by Lino Tagliapietra, 14.5 x 13.5 x 5.25″

Killer Whale Totem by Preston Singletary, 4 x 6 x 18″

Killer Whale Totem
by Preston Singletary

Seattle based Preston Singletary’s glass sculpture typically references elements from his native Tlingit culture. In this piece, he has created a totemic piece based upon the much venerated killer whale.

Thank you for taking part of your day to enjoy some of the world’s greatest glass art. I look forward to staying in touch.
